Support Type : Freeform
Support Style Freeform can be customized via your own STL geometry.
Select one points on the model. A freeform support starting form this point will be created.
Four checkboxes option are available (2.7.1).
- Set on Y direction : Rotate the support by 90° (Y+ direction).
- Rotate 180°: Rotate the support by 180° (X- direction).
If both options are checked, rotate the support by 270° (180°+90°) (Y- direction).
- Auto Orientation: Calculate the orientation according to the Convex Hull Boundary of the selected model. In this case the option "Rotate 180°" is not visible.
To run this option need to get the information concerning the adherence Convex Hull Boundary ( Area of the Skirt or the Brim) . So if this option is not active the plugin will change this parameter automaticaly. A message is displayed to inform of this modification.
In this case if you don't want to use a Brim or a Skirt , set back the Build plate Adhesion type to None after the support creation.
- Scaling in main Directions : If checked Scale the model in All directions and not only on the Z Axis
The Stl files used to define these supports are stored in the [models] directory of the plugin. An OpenScad File are also present in this directory to customize your own files.

In oder to get a complete support creation , the option Support placement must be set to EveryWhere. As this option is only available if the option Support Generation is enabled. Temporarily enable Generate Support, enable the Support placement option, then disable back Support Generation.
