MovieHound

MovieHound is an application that allows users to search for and display information about movies using The Movie DB API. The application offers two different styles for displaying movie information: a movie card format and a table format. The movie card format allows users to hover over a movie poster to reveal more information, while the table format allows users to quickly look through longer lists of movies.

Getting Started

To get started with MovieHound, you'll need to do the following:

  1. Clone the repository to your local machine using git clone https://github.com/yourusername/movie-lookup.git
  2. Navigate to the movie-lookup directory
  3. Install the dependencies using npm install
  4. Create a .env file in the root directory and add your API key from The Movie DB API using the following format: VITE_APP_API_KEY=yourapikey
  5. Start the application using npm start
