A port of AMD's FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS) filter.
This filter uses AMD's FidelityFX CAS technology to sharpen blurry edges and give your stream a higher quality look at little to no cost. Sharpening is performed adaptively to ensure it never over-sharpens the image, as is typical of many sharpening filters.
- Filter Type: Effect Filter
- HDR Support: Yes
- Performance Impact: Low (<1ms)
-
Special Requirements:
- Should be applied after AMD FSR 1.0 Video Scaler for best quality.
- Sharpness: The amount of adaptive sharpening to perform. Higher values lead to more sharpening.
AMD FidelityFX CAS prioritizes sharpening the parts of the image that actually need it, so you can safely leave the sharpness somewhere between 0.8-1.0 for all video content.
