Update README and remove file extensions from gcode-alternate.tmLanguage
Browse files Browse the repository at this point in the history
Update the readme since this package is now in Package Control.

Remove the file extensions by commenting them out in gcode-alternate.tmLanguage
so that `gcode` will be the default syntax highlighter instead of `gcode-alternate`.

## Status: done! It works!
I still need to get it into Sublime Package Control, however. A PR to do that is open here: https://github.com/wbond/package_control_channel/pull/8501.

# Installation

## 1. Package Control [NOT YET FUNCTIONAL; use manual method below for now]
<a id="1-package-control"></a>
## 1. Package Control

Open the Command Palette via `Tools` --> `Command Palette...`, _or_ by pressing <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>Shift</kbd> + <kbd>P</kbd>. Then, search for `install package`, and click on `Package Control: Install Package`. Search for "gcode", and install the package by that name. `gcode` is now available as one of the syntax highlighting options.

If you ever want to remove it, use <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>Shift</kbd> + <kbd>P</kbd> and then search for `Package Control: Remove Package`. Select it, and then search for `gcode`.

To list all installed packages, use <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>Shift</kbd> + <kbd>P</kbd> and then `Package Control: List Packages`.
