Privacy

This extension collects or saves no data whatsoever. It reads whatever you input in the search box of the supported search websites, sends that term to the configured linkding instance, receives results and injects those into the search website.

Please be aware that the transfers themselves are only encrypted if you configure the linkding instance URL to start with https. If you use a URL with http your transfer might be unencrypted, meaning both your API key, search term and search results could be viewed by others. Someone with access to your API key can fully access all the content of your linkding instance.

Please always use https when configuring linkding, unless you are using linkding only in your local network.
