Welcome to the QuickChem wiki!

The QuickChem Gridded Component is envisioned as a module that provides computationally efficient versions of several chemical species, which used in concert with the aerosol and carbon components of GEOS will provide a suitable platform for studying aspects of climate and atmospheric composition. The computational overhead will be much lower than that of larger chemistry package such as GMI or GEOS-Chem.

The first species within QuickChem is the hydroxyl radical, OH. It was implemented using a machine learning approach, using the XGBoost library, as described in Anderson et al (insert DOI).
