Service worker -cache updates

Is there any way to intercept the service worker request, until unless we acknowledge the pop-up to be "OK", hash values should not updated into cache storage?

Service worker Cache updates - To intercept the service worker request, until we click "OK" to pop-up, hash values shouldn't update into CacheStorage.

I have tried intercepting the service worker request, since it's updating the cache storage on navigation whenever there's new deployment or changes is available in application even the changes started serving to UI before the user's agree for a pop-up of version updates.

I want to block/intercept the service worker request until unless i agree for version update pop-up then the latest hash values should add to Cache storage.

I have tried with cache bursting, even the hash values are added to cache storage before we agree for version updates.

Whenever the changes is deployed into server - We will get a version detection pop-up in UI with "Ok" and "Cancel" button. Once user clicks "OK" then only the latest hash values should added into cache storage.To implement this approach, how can we intercept the service worker request?

This seems to be a question for the Angular team and not the Angular Hispano team.

That said, I think you are trying to use the service worker in a way it was not designed for. I don't believe there is a concept of "user agreeing to a version update." The "OK" is not to agree that the app is allowed to update. It's to reload the app now to use the new update. The "Cancel" is there to allow you to quickly save your work before reloading the app to get the update. Either way, you are forced to update to the latest version of the app, one choice is immediate, the other allows a temporary delay. There is no way to permanently reject updates to the app. If you need that kind of functionality, I would recommend implementing your own Service Worker separate from Angular's implementation.

@Splaktar Thanks for the information!!! I don't want to reject the change or new version updates permanently, just to intercept the service worker request.Once the user clicks "OK" then add the latest hash values to Cache storage not before that.

In current scenario, whenever user Navigates we are identifying new updates and new hash values are stored under cache storage then only version-detection pop-up is showing.I want the pop-up to shown first and then hash values get stored into Cache storage.
