Keyboard - graphic accentuation - Portuguese

Hello,
I am implementing AstericsGrid for my son.
We live in Brazil and our language is Brazilian portuguese.

He loves to use the keyboard ( I got the one from the example boards ) and it works fine. HOWEVER, in portuguese there are lots of graphic accentuation and I could not implement them in the keyboard.
Examples:
balão (baloon) - how can I put the symbol ~ on top of the "a" vowel?
árvore (tree) - the button with the symbol ' just put the symbol, but not on top of the "a" ?
tênis (tennis) - how can I put the ^ on top of the"e"?

If anyone knows how to do that and can help me, it would be really nice! Thank you very much!

Hello and thanks for your question!

This is how you could do it:

1. add some special characters (that are on top of the other characters) to the keyboard like this:
   
2. Duplicate the keyboard and link it to the special character, so clicking on ~ navigates to the duplicated keyboard
3. At the duplicated keyboard change all characters with the special character on the top, so for ~ e.g. N becomes Ñ
   
4. For the special keys link back to the original keyboard, so clicking on Ñ adds it to the bar, but changes Ñ back to N

It's some work, but in that way theoretically you could do all special keys.

See the behaviour I've described in this backup. Just import it to any new test user (you have to unzip the file first):
