Origin

This project's codebase is derived from another project called Godot_match_3 developed by James Taft (Mister Taft Creates) with Godot 3.0.6 and later upgraded to Godot 3.1.1 in June 2019. Unfortunately all development on the afore mentioned project is on a hiatus for an uncertain amount of time until Mr. Taft's return.

Project

This project will be developed with Godot 3.2, GDScript and following recommended best-practises. Development will start and follow along the tutorial series created by Mr. Taft, available on his Youtube channel.

Requirements

No previous programming experience is expected or assumed, but any previous experience will be advantageous. No commercial software is required to follow along the tutorial series. Optionally, you could make a sprite sheet to use, instead of the individual sprites. For quality and convenience reasons, I'll be using a commercial program called TexturePacker (Pro) to accomplish this task. But it is also possible to make sprite sheets manually with software like Gimp, krita, etc or to use TexturePacker (Free) without Pro features.
