A Chrome extension that adds a custom button to Slack's message input form for checking and correcting English grammar in your messages. It also provides translation from any language to English.
- Preserves Slack message formatting (bold text, code blocks, blockquotes, etc.)

- Install the Chrome extension by clicking here.

Download the zip file of this repository from GitHub.

Extract the zip file to a folder on your local machine.

Open the Chrome browser and navigate to
chrome://extensions. -
Enable "Developer mode" by toggling the switch in the upper right corner.

Click the "Load unpacked" button and select the folder containing the extracted zip files.

After installing the extension, you need to enter your OpenAI API key. You can get an API key by signing up for an account at OpenAI.

Enter the API key in the extension settings, and you're good to go!

If you can't find where the settings is, you might need to pin the extension first. Follow these steps:
Click on the Chrome extension icon on the top right corner of Chrome browser
Locate the ChatGPT Grammar Correction for Slack extension and click the pin button
Click on the magic wand icon of ChatGPT Grammar Correction for Slack extension on the top right corner of Chrome browser

Open Slack in your Chrome browser.

Start typing your message.

Before sending your message, click the "Check Grammar" button that appears in the message input form.

The extension will check and correct your grammar, as well as translate any non-English text to English.

Review the suggested changes and send your message with improved grammar and translation.
