Rate limiter

Simple thread safe ratelimiter to limit x number of actions per minute. Built upon a mutex.

Importing

import "github.com/ducc/ratelimiter"

Usage

This example allows 50 actions per minute and attempts to do 1000 (therefore it will take 20 minutes).

func main() {
    limiter := ratelimiter.New(50)

    for i := 0; i < 1000; i++ {
        limiter.Aquire()

        // do some work
    }
}

Also supports different periods with time.Duration, e.g.

limiter := ratelimiter.NewWithPer(10, time.Second * 5) // allow 10 requests in 5 seconds

for i := 0; i < 1000; i++ {
    limiter.Aquire()

    // do some work
}
