This relies on a SOLR field `MD_PI_DOI_URL`. In many contexts, a DOI should be represented in form of a URL, prefixed with a resolver address like `https://doi.org/`. Therefore, such field should be present in every Viewer that employs DOIs. A machine readable representation is highly recommended for DOI landing pages (cf https://support.datacite.org/docs/landing-pages).
