Repository Setup

This section goes over how to set up the GitHub repository, using two different methods.

Using Terminal

Clone the AP Cpmputer Science A: Maddie Waldie Code repository:

git clone https://github.com/NDSJCS/CSA18-19_Waldie_Maddie.git

Using SourceTree

Follow the steps below to download SourceTree.

1. Go to this website.
2. Click the green download button
3. Create an Atlassian account
4. Follow the instructions given to create it
5. Go back to SourceTree, and login with your Atlassian account
6. Click the Github icon, enter your GitHub information, and sign in

Follow the steps below to clone the repository, using SourceTree.

1. Open SourceTree
2. Next to the searchbar that says "filter repositories," drop down the tab that says "New"
3. Select Clone from URL
4. Enter this source URL
5. Select the destination path and name the repository
6. Press clone

Naming Conventions

This section goes over the naming conventions for different aspects of code in this repository.

Project Names

The names of labs should be the only folders that use underscores in their names. When naming a project, always put the lab name, followed by the author's last name, and finally the author's first name.

Below, you can see an example of how to name a project.

LabName_LastName_FirstName

Method Names

Just like variables, the naming of methods is always in camel case, rather than using underscores. Make sure the first letter of a method is uppercase.

Variable Names

The naming of variables is always in camel case, rather than using underscores. Make sure the first letter of a variable is lowercase.
