Windows still has executables so there is no need to install Python. The Linux version depends on Python 3.11+, libewf/ewf-tools and disktype.

FallbackImager

...is a modular utility for forensic work as a complement or fallback to the commercial and/or established tools. The modules write log files into given output directories, calculate hashes and/or lists of copied files etc. Multiple jobs can be generated and executed sequentially.
There are Versions for Linux based OS and Windows.

Capabilities/modules on Linux based OS:

• create EWF-/E01-images using libewf and generate a report user defined by template
• zip with log, filelist an hashes
• work with SQLite, port SQL dumps to SQLite, dump SQLite as CSV
• check what Magnet Forensics Axiom has found and compare to the source or results e.g. of X-Ways
• wipe HDDs or SSDs
