PAP2-physics-lab-course

This repository contains the data-analysis work and the evaluation of the experiments in Python for the second mandatory physics lab course for physics students (PAP2) I attended at Heidelberg University during the winter term 2017/2018.

All the code was written by my lab partner (@carlvr) or by myself (@mathieukaltschmidt).

Some work was done together with @MajestyQ and @fthorben.

This course was held in german, thats the reason why most of the comments, titles and informations are in german language.

The lab course covered the following experiments:

PAP2.1 during the winter term 2017/2018

Mechanik - mechanics:

  • V211 Gekoppelte Pendel - coupled pendulums *
  • V212 Zähigkeit von Flüssigkeiten - viscosity of fluids*
  • V213 Kreisel- gyroscope

Thermodynamik - thermodynamics:

  • V221 Adiabatenkoeffizient - adiabatic index
  • V222 Heißluftmotor - hot air / Sterling engine
  • V223 Brownsche Bewegung - Brownian motion

Optik - optics:

  • V232 Michelson-Interferometer - Michelson interferometer
  • V233 Fourieroptik - Fourier optics
  • V234 Lichtquellen - light sources

PAP2.2 in spring 2018

Elektromagnetismus - electromagnetism:

  • V241 Wechselstromeigenschaften von RLC-Gliedern - characteristics of RLC circuits in use with alternating current
  • V242 Spannungsverstärkung - voltage amplification
  • V243 Thermisches Rauschen - thermal noise
  • V245 Induktion - electromagnetic induction

Radioaktivität - radioactivity:

  • V251 Statistik radioaktiver Zerfälle - statistics of radioactive decays
  • V252 Aktivierung mit thermischen Neutronen - activation with thermal neutrons
  • V253 Absorption von α-, β- und γ-Strahlen - absorption of α-, β- and γ-rays
  • V255 Röntgenspektrometer - X-ray spectrometer
  • V256 Röntgenfluoreszenz - X-ray fluorescence
  • The experiments marked with an asterisk weren't evaluated with Python. Unfortunately I couldn't upload anything concerning the evaluation of the experiments.
