Here's a cleaned up version of the PNG

I resized this in Photoshop to be 320px wide which is the size it will be displayed at

Here's the resulting svg exported from Illustrator:

Here's a before-and-after with the new logo on top:

It's an improvement but if you think you can make it even better, by all means, please do so.
