Release 2.0.0 Checkpoint Review

The MDS Working Group Steering Committee met for the Review Checkpoint for the 2.0.0 proposed release on Feb 9, 2023. This covers work we started back in Oct 2021.

The checkpoint allows the steering committee to review the final code and help with the creation of the release candidate, including reaching out to contributors about code conflicts, and ensure the release is cohesive and consistent.

For this evaluation, we looked at the final draft of the release in the dev branch and reviewed the few open PRs and Issues around OpenAPI and Modes cleanup.

Release date

Targeting release candidate launch on Feb 16 with announcement at the public WG meeting, and starting the release approval after OMF governance process after that.

Modes Work

Cleanup work almost complete (see PR #836) and merged to dev by Monday.
