News Operations

The following all use the 4x3 Keypad when in "News mode"

Key Results
0 Help: Show the list of valid News keys and what the key does.
1 Shows the current News Topic (example: World News, Canada, Toronto...)
Also: the time/date the news was captured, and whether the CBNR is operating offline from cached news.
4 Takes you forward a news topic. Useful if the news on Edmonton (sorry, Edmonton) is not interesting.
2 Takes you back one news item.
5 Takes you forward one news item.
3 Give additional detail information about the current news topic.
* Enter Config mode

Configuration

Use the following when you've entered Configuration mode.

Key Results
0 Help: Show the list of valid Configuration keys and what the key does.
1 Show my Uptime (currently: 8 weeks, 5 days)
2 Show my IP address(es). Useful when the CBNR is on your network and you want to ssh/vnc to it.
3 Show my wifi access point (AP) information.
6 Show all visible wifi APs in order of signal strength.
4 Toggle the LCD backlight (default on). Use this for visibility/save power when on battery.
7 Abbreviated Help to facilitate connection to a wifi AP with an Android phone tethered through a USB cable. Useful if you're at the Bandit Coffee Shop, Tango Palace, or another coffee shop or location.
(about 10 steps).
