The Lanpartymanager was written to easily manage the downloads of games played on a LAN and for easy connection to the open servers, because those two parts are the most important and most error-prone actions. The games are not only available for download, but also the versions of the games between the Server and the Client are checked.
This makes the whole game distribution as easy as possible - it's just click 'n' play.
