Tdlib versions prior to 1.7.9 don't support int64 ids and are effectively non-functional. Still not sure why it had to be like that, but the fact of the matter is that everybody needs to upgrade.
The current tdlib-schema still kinda works with 1.7.9, although with warnings, but with 1.7.10 (or current master of tdlib), it does not work fundamentally, because the Message class attributes have changed, which I learned the oh so hard way.
tdlib team made it non-trivial to track down the particular version by removing release tags, but according to a maintainer, 1.7.9 release corresponds to this commit: tdlib/td@9f6b369
I cheked out that commit and ran bin/parser to generate new schema
