Here I will have documented my journey to build my own custom dactyl keyboard

I want to have a curved keyboard at home, because I really like the kinesis advantage I used to have at work. However, I do think that the advantage does not look very cool, but the dactyl does! Then I got numerous ideas to add to the base dactyl, such as bluetooth and RGB lighting.

The desired features of the keyboard:

• dactyl shape (similar to the kinesis advantage; I used to have one at work)

• kennykaye's wrist rest

• custom switch layout; gateron greens

• built-in bluetooth (stretch goal?)

• Keyboard controllers programmed in rust

Other possible features

• layout toggle (qwerty/dvorak/other?) done in OS on desktop, but e.g. iOS has no support for programmer's dvorak, so the kb needs to be able to adapt
• dual kb layout (two halves can work independently)
• built-in USB hub for a mouse. (Maybe even for USB sticks / game controllers?)
• RGB leds, eventually programmable (stretch goal)
