Meeting 4 1 New app flow

11/10/2017 Meeting was called to order at 5:00pm by Scrum Master, Domenico.

Meeting Notes:

  • The realisation of how much time we have left has started to settle in
  • We as a group have taken in the feedback from previous user testing and worked out the entire app flow:

  • So essentially, we have made most pages accessible from the Landing Page (LP within the diagram)
  • Points of interest have been changes from events, wifi, groups to wifi, popular "attractions", events you've created/are attending
  • We decided to take away events because we have an entire feature dedicated to events and seemed somewhat redundant
  • We took away groups because that's viewable from the events page
  • We kept wifi as it's a pretty integral feature that backpackers need
  • We chose popular "attractions" rather than "events/places" because sometimes a certain landmark or location may be really popular, but might not essentially be a listed venue, like a bar or hotel

  • From the last meeting, we also found that we had to decide on the flow of the events feature and what constitutes an event --> Can people make multiple events at the same location/reason, can an event be made without a venue, etc.
  • We decided to make an event very broad, because we don't want to restrict what users want to celebrate/host
  • Anyone can make an event
  • If an event has already been made in the same location, current events will be listed to ensure the user is aware if there is already an event for the same reason. If there is, they are still able to make the event, or cancel the creation process.
  • The create event feature will be accessible from the events page only and will be a pop up panel
