Description: The Catalogue Of Somatic Mutations In Cancer (COSMIC) provides a comprehensive resource for exploring the impact of somatic mutations in human cancer. COSMIC consists of two separate but complementary resources: the COSMIC database and the COSMIC Cell Lines Project. The COSMIC database contains curated data on tens of thousands of targeted gene-screening panels and genome-wide screening data. The COSMIC Cell Lines Project provides rovides a systematic characterization of the genetics and genomics of large numbers of cancer cell lines. COSMIC is supported by the Wellcome Sanger Institute.
